The Universal Application for high school students is a single, online application that helps assess a student's eligibility for scholarships.

The Community Foundation has partnered with families and organizations who want to help Elkhart County students succeed in obtaining higher education. The scholarships available through the Universal Application help pay a student's tuition.

The Universal Application opens on January 1, 2022, and the deadline is March 1, 2022.

Recipients will be notified by April 30 and the Community Foundation will send checks to the college or university in July 2022.


A) Resident of Elkhart County

B) Neither parent/guardian with whom the student resides has completed a 4-year baccalaureate degree

C) Accredited Elkhart County high school graduate

D) Course of study requirements: Core 40, Indiana Academic Honors Diploma or equivalent

E) Planning to enroll in an accredited Indiana college in the fall

F) Must enroll in a four-year college degree program
