Orin Carver Scholarship Program

This Scholarship Fund was established in 1991 at the close of the Canada Winter Games to honour and recognize the leadership of Orin Carver who served as President of the games. Mr. Carver passed in 2001.

Conditions of Eligibility:

A) In graduating year of a PEI high school, or enrolled in UPEI or Holland College

B) Intend to further full-time studies at UPEI or Holland College;

C) Exhibit a level of excellence and leadership in either athletics or arts fields, or in community service or a combination thereof

D) Achieved an overall average of 75% during your previous academic year, with no individual subject mark less than 70%

E) Provide a transcript of your most recent academic performance endorsed by the educational institution you attend

F) Application supported by a minimum of 2 letters of reference and submit a personal statement not exceeding

G) 500 words on how you have personally benefited from your involvement in athletics or the arts, and your involvement in your community

C) Formal statement of academic standing and official academic transcript for most recent academic year completed (full-time) by educational institute attended

D) Two (2) letters of reference with one from the educational institution currently attending and one from a person in your community

E) Confirmation of acceptance or confirmation of continuing attendance, at either Holland College or UPEI
