The late Pete Ketcham was one of West Fraser's founders and served as Chairman of the Board for almost 20 years. He was a respected businessman who dedicated his career to furthering West Fraser's success. Although a competitive and driven leader, Pete is most remembered for his extraordinary vision and for helping others to achieve their goals. As a legacy to Pete's generous spirit and commitment to helping others reach higher, West Fraser established the Pete Ketcham Memorial Scholarship Fund, which helps students reach their academic goals by distributing annual grants to eligible candidates.

Eligibility

Open to any post-secondary student, although preference is given to applicants graduating from a school located in a community where the Company operates and to relatives of employees.

Applications must be received by June 30, 2021.

While open to any student, preference may be given first to students graduating from a school located in a community in which the Company operates and secondly, to students who have a relative employed by the Company. Several $1,500 scholarships are awarded each year.
