NTUA Scholarship

The scholarship may be used for either an Undergraduate or a Graduate degree program.  It is also required of you to notify NTUA of any changes in the information provided on your application.

Eligibility criteria:

1. The student is:

a. High School Graduate or expects to graduate high school by the date of enrollment at college or university; or

b. High-school equivalent certificate holder or expects to receive a high-school equivalent certificate by the date of enrollment at college or university; or

c. Currently attending college or university with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.000 or above for Undergraduate work, or a 3.000 or above for Graduate work.

2. The student is enrolled in a field of study related to the multi-service utility industry (e.g. business, management, administration, accounting, engineering [electrical, civil, or environmental], environment, or information technology).

3. The student is enrolled as Full-Time status, defined as:

a. Twelve (12) or more Credit Hours per semester for Undergraduate degree programs; or

b. Nine (9) or more Credit Hours per semester for Graduate degree programs; or

c. Other amount of credit hours determined by student’s college or university as Full-Time status.

4. The student maintains a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.00 or above for Undergraduate work, or a 3.00 or above for Graduate work.

Application Process:

Students must provide the following documents by the stated deadline.

Application Packet:

Applicants must submit official/original documents for each element of the Application Packet listed below:

  • Scholarship Application
  • Letter of Interest (Standard business letter stating your interest in the scholarship and a description of “How your degree aligns with multi- service utility industry.)” (Upload with online application)
  • Letter of Acceptance or Admission to College or University dated less than two years or a current Enrollment Verification (Upload with online application)
  • Navajo Chapter Affiliation: copy of your Navajo Nation Voter Registration Card. (Upload with online application)
  • Official sealed High School, or College, or University Transcripts (electronic transcript will be accepted directly from college or university (i.e. National Student ClearingHouse)(Email to NTUAScholarship@ntua.com)
  • Official Certificate of Indian Blood (green, embossed certificate)(copies not excepted) Incomplete Application Packets will not be considered for the scholarship award.  No fax or email documents will be considered. Only transcripts may be emailed directly from the institution.

Deadline: Online Applications, Letter of Interest, College/University Admissions Letter, Official sealed High School, College or University Transcript, Official Navajo Certificate of Indian Blood (original CIB will not be returned), and Navajo Nation Voter Registration Card must be postmark or hand-deliver to the NTUA Training Department by the Application
