In 2005, Hawai'i Self Storage created a scholarship program to financial support future leaders in our community.
- The program annually rewards up to $4,000 each, to 10-11 high school seniors across the state.
- 217 scholarships awarded
- $868,000 total funds
Since 2005, Hawai'i Self Storage (HSS) awards financial scholarships to eligible students to pursue and obtain a college degree. This program is designed to help and support students financially to develop into future leaders in our community. 10 students will be selected for the scholarships, and it will be awarded based on required written essay and eligibility.
Eligibility
Be a Hawai'i resident and be a current high school senior. Must graduate from a high school in the State of Hawai'i.
Be enrolled full-time at a college or university.
The applicant must be enrolled full time and submit a letter of acceptance into a recognized academic degree program. Applicants must be enrolled with a minimum of 12 credits; HSS does not provide funding for part-time enrollment.
Complete the required attached application and essay. Only one application needs to be submitted in order to apply.

Completed application and essay must be emailed by February 15th, 2026.
Selected recipients are announced in May 2026.
Terms of Scholarship
- 4-year maximum term. $1,000 awarded each year upon renewal qualification.
- Student must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
- If student fails to qualify, student is still eligible the next year if GPA qualifies.
