At Roberts PC, we want to recognize the effort and dedication of first-generation law and pre-law students with our new Legal Legacy Scholarship. Pursuing higher education, especially one in law, can be incredibly daunting both financially and mentally, and we aim to award a student’s tenacity for taking this massive step forward. The legal field has always benefited from fresh talent and new perspectives, and if we can open the way for a first-generation student, we will be glad for it.

The winner of our Legal Legacy Scholarship will be awarded $1000 to use toward their schooling expenses. Applications for the Legal Legacy Scholarship should be submitted prior to September 22, 2025.

Eligibility Requirements

Before applying, please note our non-negotiable eligibility requirements:

  • You must be a first-generation student studying law or pre-law at an accredited school.
  • You must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a pre-law undergraduate program or accredited law school within the United States for the Fall 2025 semester.
  • You must be at least 17 years old.
  • You must be a citizen of the United States.

Application Requirements

Applicants are required to answer the following prompt in a short essay response of no more than 500 words.

  • Your response should be uploaded in .docx or PDF format.
  • In addition, we ask that you provide proof of your enrollment at your university or law school - such as a class schedule, unofficial transcript, or acceptance letter.
  • Essay Prompt
    • As a law or pre-law student, what do you want to accomplish with your degree? How will you contribute to making our society better?

Evaluation Criteria

Our scholarship review team will evaluate your essay response based on the criteria listed below:

  • The clearness of your goals after attaining your degree.
  • The authenticity of the contributions you plan to make with your degree.
  • The coherent focus and organization of your essay.

We will make a final decision and contact the winner of the scholarship approximately one month after the deadline.
