Faith Hope and Love Jesus, Inc. is excited to offer 2 annual $500 college scholarships to childhood cancer or blood disorder survivors.  This will be the easiest 500 words or more essay to write in the world.  Why?  Because it can be on any topic or subject.  You decide.  That's right. We figure if you're going to write, you'll enjoy it more if it's something you want to write about.  So let the writing begin.  The deadline for electronic submission to scholarships@faithhopeandlovejesus.org is every May 1st.  We will announce our winners every August 1st.

Additional Details

  • Submit your essay with a cover page which includes your name, address, phone number and email. Please use PDF format.
  • Submit a copy of your acceptance letter (FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN ONLY), OR an official or unofficial transcript (FOR CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENTS), OR a letter from the registrar's office of your school (FOR ALL STUDENTS) along with your essay.
  • Submit a letterhead from your doctor documenting a history of a blood disorder or cancer diagnosed before the age of 18 along with your essay. The documentation should include your Date of Birth and Date of Diagnosis.
  • Once we receive all 3 required documents, we will send you a confirmation email.
  • Submitted essays will not be returned.
  • Sorry but NO essays will be accepted that are received after May 1st.
  • The winning essays will be posted to the website when they are announced on August 1st.
  • Award proceeds are disbursed upon completion of the Fall semester.  An official or unofficial transcript is required at that time.
  • The scholarship submission period begins every year on August 2nd.
  • At this time due to limited resources, this opportunity is only being offered to U.S. citizens.
  • One last important point - Please remember to attach ALL 3 documents (500+word essay, school documentation, and doctor documentation) with your submission.
