The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students and NSPMA members in good standing who are continuing their education in technical and trade certifications or degrees in facilities and engineering.
Any graduating senior, college freshman, sophomore, or junior is eligible to apply for a scholarship. A total of $5,000 has been budgeted for the program for up to five individuals based on the selection criteria (financial need, academic achievement, co-curricular participation, community service, and essay response).
Individual scholarships range from $500 to $1,500 and are based on criteria specified in the application.
The review process is managed by the NSPMA Scholarship Committee, and the deadline for application submission is March 1, 2026.
Support is made possible through the NSPMA Scholarship Trust Fund. Sponsors of the scholarship program are currently employed or retired from school personnel positions in custodial, maintenance and/or operational services.
The NSPMA Board would like to clarify to their members that their children and grandchildren are also eligible for these scholarship awards. When an member child and /or grandchild submits an scholarship application they should indicate in a cover letter the members name and school district for which they are employed.
