The purpose of the ASFSC Scholarship Awards Program is to acknowledge and reward outstanding academic and personal achievements of eligible United States Air Force and United States Space Force dependents of any rank by offering merit-based scholarships for study at higher learning institutions.
General Information/Criteria:
1. The Air and Space Forces Spouses’ Club (ASFSC) (previously named the Air Force Officers’ Spouses’ Club -AFOSC) offers merit-based scholarships to eligible dependents who are current High School students who will be pursuing undergraduate studies at an accredited college or university during the following 2026-2027 academic school year.
2. Scholarships are awarded in accordance with the ASFSC Scholarship Committee Policies and Procedures.
3. Selection criteria may include all or some of the following: academic achievement; standardized test scores; extracurricular activities (e.g. school and/or community athletics, volunteering, work experience, clubs, etc.); work history, citizenship, leadership roles, awards/honors, character references and personal essay.
The applicant is responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information and official documents.
4. Awards are granted without regard to USAF or USSF member’s rank or applicant’s race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or disability.
5. Applications must be submitted no later than March 7, 2026. You will receive a confirmation of your submitted application within 24 hours.
6. Applicants will be notified by e-mail of the results in April 2026.
7. The ASFSC Scholarship Committee invites individuals with strong academic backgrounds from the community to judge the application packets. Judges and their dependents are not eligible to apply for the scholarship. Judges may not be members of the ASFSC.

Eligibility:
Each applicant must meet the following requirements:
1. Applicants must be a candidate for graduation from high school or a certified home school program for the current school year and plan to attend an accredited college or university during the 2026-2027 academic school year.
2. Each applicant must be a legal military dependent child of an active duty, reserve, guard, retired, POW/MIA, deceased officer or enlisted member of the USAF or USSF.
3. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
4. Home-schooled applicants must supply credentials and documentation that are commensurate with the requirements listed in the application.
5. The ASFSC Scholarship Committee members and their dependents are not eligible to apply for or receive this scholarship.
6. Applicants must have an eligible sponsor currently living and/or stationed in one of the following DMV counties: Arlington, Fairfax, Loudon, Prince William, Stafford, King George, Fauquier, Charles, Prince George, Montgomery, Howard, Anne Arundell, St. Mary’s, Calvert, or the District of Columbia.

3. It is important that applicants provide any and all qualifying information in the application categories (Educational, Employment, Community/Volunteer Service, Community/Club Activities, College Activities, Awards/Honors). Scholarships are awarded based on total points.
