Maine Mayflower Scholarships

Any student who is a senior in High School (or equivalent) and a descendant of a Mayflower Passenger, 1620, and has a blood relative, who is currently a member in good standing or a deceased member of the Maine Mayflower Society or a Junior or Life Junior, may make application for one of our scholarships. It is anticipated that up to three $1,500.00 scholarships will be available each year.

Scholarship letters and application forms are automatically sent to each State Junior and Junior Life member who is a high school senior.  The letter and forms are sent on or about November 15, 2025.  Our Scholarships are for GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS ONLY who plan to further their education. Please include your State Junior number or Junior Life membership number on your application form or the name, state number and relationship of a sponsoring relative.

For Junior & Junior Life members who do not receive an application by November 30, 2025 and any non-Junior members who wish to apply, please contact the Scholarship Committee Chairman at address indicated below,

Members of the Society who have children, grandchildren or great grandchildren who are seniors and who are not Junior Members of the Society should encourage them to request an application.

Each request for an application form must include the applicant’s full name, complete mailing address, email address, telephone number and the name of and relationship to a Maine Mayflower Society member. Application form requests will be accepted through February 1st of their senior year.

All completed scholarship application forms must be received at the above address no later than March 10, 2026.  Applications received after that date WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Applicants will be advised the winners and the amount of the scholarship within 60 days of the closing date.
