Shasta County 4-H Scholarship

Completed application and 3 letters of reference shall be submitted BY: FRIDAY, MARCH 14, 2025 TO: Shasta County 4-H Office, 1851 Hartnell Ave., Redding, CA 96002

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Graduating High School Senior
• Enrolled in Shasta County 4-H for at least the past three years: sophomore, junior, and senior years.
• Complete the entire application process by the due date, and attend a scholarship interview.
  • Interviews will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
  • You must attend your scheduled interview in person to qualify; no exceptions.
  • Please mark this on your calendar.
• If awarded a scholarship, you must enroll at a recognized college, university or trade school within 12 months of the date of the award or all monies shall be forfeited.

FYI - All pages should be one-sided only.

• Completed Application
• Personal Story - 3 to 6 pages typed. You may use your Record Book “My 4-H Story”. Please sign and date.
• High School Transcripts - a photocopy will suffice.
• Three (3) Letters of Recommendation from non-related persons. Letters can be from a leader from another club. Community Club Leader / Project Leader / School official, employer, church official, etc.

Please note:

Applicants are responsible for verifying that all parts of the application are received by the 4-H Office on or before the due date. The application may be mailed or hand-delivered. It is the applicants responsibility to follow up with the persons writing the letters of recommendation and insure they are received by the 4-H Office.

Letters of recommendation may be included with the application in a sealed envelope or mailed/delivered separately.

Incomplete applications will be disqualified. Late applications will not be accepted.
