The Julie Sullivan Memorial Scholarship Award is to recognize outstanding students who have been successful in their educational pursuits while overcoming physical challenges with the help of home medical equipment and supplies.
Julie served as the very first Executive Director of the PAMS Association and later went on to serve us and the industry as our Convention Coordinator. Julie had great knowledge of our industry and was able to engage the provider community with energy and her signature feature, that contagious smile. She was a shining example for all of us as we advocate the helping of others through our jobs as DME Providers and as members of the communities we serve.
The Laraine Forry Memorial Scholarship Award is to recognize outstanding students with a focus on service to others who are planning a career in healthcare-related field. The award was named in the memory of our dear friend and colleague, Laraine Forry. Laraine served our PA Association of Medical Suppliers (PAMS) in various capacities from 1981 through 2015. She tirelessly gave her time and energy to our industry and others, and was a dedicated, patient mentor and leader for many individuals.
The criteria for these scholarships are:
- The applicant must be a resident of Pennsylvania or Delaware; is a high school senior, and the award must be used toward a post-high school education program..
- For Laraine Forry Award - for students with focus on others who are planning a career in a health-related field.
- For Julie Sullivan Award - Must use or have used home medical equipment/supplies.

- The completed application
- At least two letters of recommendation from professionals (these do not necessarily have to be teachers) who have knowledge of your experiences and achievements
- Proof of post-secondary enrollment
