The Offutt Officers' Spouses' Club is proud to have awarded scholarships totaling $50,000.00 to local students this year!
2025 applications will be open to military/GS high school seniors, spouses of ANY rank/branch, and dependents currently enrolled in a college program. You MUST be affiliated with Offutt AFB AND in the local Offutt AFB metro. Updated applications and deadlines will be announced soon!
Income from the Offutt Thrift Shop and the Annual Golden Ticket Auction supports these scholarships. Thank you to all our Offutt Thrift Shop volunteers and our Auction committee, without your dedication, we would not be able to award these scholarships to further the dreams of those here in our community.
The Offutt Officers' Spouses' Club Charitable Association, Inc. (OOSCCA) will award several academic scholarships to qualified high school senior applicants.
Scholarship Selection Panel will determine the award recipient based on current scholastic achievement, program of study/school enrollment, community service activities, and an essay.
The Scholarship chairperson of the OOSC will chair the Scholarship Selection Panel.
The panel may include but is not limited to: Community Representatives, School Representatives, Local Business Representatives, Enlisted Representative, and Officer Representative. The Chairperson for the OOSC may not vote.
The OOSCCA will send the scholarship award check before September 1st, 2024, directly to the accredited institution where the recipient's account is maintained. Recipients must use the scholarship money before June 30, 2024. Unused funds will revert to the OOSCCA. The OOSCCA will notify the accountable party when the check has been mailed to the college.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a current college program for fall 2024. Applicants who are enrolled in community colleges or trade schools are also encouraged to apply.
- Applicant must be a military dependent (officer or enlisted: active duty, retired, or deceased), or a dependent of YB-3 (GS-7 equivalent) or above employed or retired from employment at Offutt Air Force Base, or a dependent of a military member assigned to a local military unit assigned to Offutt Air Force Base. A copy of the Sponsor’s ID card will be needed with application.
- Acceptance of a military academy appointment, any full scholarship*, or another OSC/NCOWC or EOSC scholarship, before or after selection as a recipient of an OOSCCA Academic Scholarship, will automatically terminate consideration for entitlement to an OOSCCA scholarship. In such event, that scholarship will be awarded to an alternate in order of merit. * The OOSCCA policy defines a full scholarship as having a student's tuition, room, and board paid. Children, wards, or spouses of any OOSCCA Selection Panel member are not eligible for a scholarship in the year that person serves.

- Previous OOSC Scholarship Recipients will be considered if applying for the 18-24 category.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
- Applicants must submit the following materials to be postmarked no later than March 17, 2024:
- Unofficial or official transcript from academic institution enrolled into for Fall 2023
- Completed legible application form
- A 300-500 word essay answering the following prompt. Describe a cause or charity that is important to you and why. How have you contributed to this cause or how do you plan to support this cause in the future? Incomplete or inaccurate applications will not be considered.
- Your application and supporting documents must be postmarked no later than March 17, 2024.
- All submitted materials will become the property of the OOSCCA and will be retained for one full year from the date of selection. At the end of the year, all applications and supporting documents will be destroyed.
