- have been involved in either the Music, Art, or the Performing Arts program at their high school or in the community;

To be eligible, the student must be a resident of the City of Westlake Village and have plans to attend a four-year university, a community college or arts college, or trade or technical school in the coming year. The award is to help in covering expenses related to the student’s continuing education.
The scholarships will be awarded based on either excellence in Music, Arts or Performing Arts programs at the students’ high school or in the community; and/or significant contribution to the community through volunteer work or community service; and/or a compelling statement about the desire to pursue a career outside of the traditional college track by attending a trade or technical school. Criteria will include years of involvement and level of accomplishment in music, arts or the performing arts, and/or volunteer work and community service, or participation in a career technical education course at the local high school or outside educational courses. Other factors will include academic achievement, school service, compelling statement, interview and financial need.
Members of the Foundation will review the applications and interview applicants prior to our final selection. Interviews will be scheduled for early April. When your application is received, the confirmation of receipt email will include the dates that interviews will be held, allowing you to mark your calendar.
