Scholarship Video Topic

To participate in this scholarship, please create a video that addresses the question: “What can the healthcare industry do to encourage more students to pursue nursing?” The firm wants you to think critically about.

Your video should be between one and two minutes in length. When recording your video, make sure that:

  • You record your video in a well-lit area
  • You hold your camera/recording device as still as possible
  • You include your full name and the name of the “Fighting the Nursing Shortage” scholarship
  • Specify any sources of information and the media editing tools used in crafting and creating their videos in the description of the video

Information About Editing and AI Use

We encourage students to use media editing tools, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud, to include media features in their videos. However, Schenk Nursing Home Abuse Law does not require applicants to edit their videos. The scholarship selection committee will consider applications based on their content, not the applicant’s video editing skills.

Students may use AI to create B-roll footage. However, the use of AI to generate the video’s script, create false voices, or create fake actors may result in an automatic disqualification. Likewise, the core footage used in your video should not be AI-generated.

Application Deadline

You have until July 31, 2026, to complete your video and submit it to Schenk Nursing Home Abuse Law’s scholarship application committee. Applications received after the deadline will not be taken into consideration.

The scholarship selection committee reserves up to three months to select a winner after the application deadline.
