To promote the profession to the next generation, award outstanding engineering students and help New York retain promising young talent, ACEC New York administers a statewide scholarship program. Since the program’s inception in 2002, the council has awarded more than $1.4 million collectively to over 460 high-achieving engineering students attending New York State colleges and universities.

Each fall, the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York offers scholarship opportunities for third-year students in a four-year
program or fourth-year students in a five-year program.
The applicant's major must be in a field of engineering/surveying:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Engineering Technology
- Surveying
- Ceramics Engineering
Applicants are only eligible to receive an ACEC New York scholarship once. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. resident and intend to remain in New York State post-graduation and being his/her career in the state.
