Jacqueline Ann McTrusty-Nazor generously served the community of Ashtabula for many years. She dedicated herself to human services and led with a heart of abundant compassion. She changed countless lives and rose as a pillar in the social work field. Her light brought hope and comfort to community members when facing some of the hardest decisions of their lives.

Jacqueline was the person to call to find the answers and when the answers were hard it was her wise and warm soul that helped clients during their hardships. Jacqueline valued supporting the community of Ashtabula. As a legacy in her honor, her family wants to extend a helping hand to those who are driven to help others as she did.

Through the Jacqueline Ann McTrusty-Nazor Memorial Scholarship, Jacquie’s dedication to serving Ashtabula

County residents through social work lives on. Upon selection, a one-time $500 scholarship will be paid directly to the recipient’s school.

Criteria:

  • Applicant must be a graduate of a public or private high school in Ashtabula County or work in social work, human services or related field in Ashtabula County. For professionals, preference will be given to those who live and work in Ashtabula County, Ohio.
  • Applicant must be enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in social work, psychology, or human services within the United States.

Applicant Must Submit:

  • A Completed application form
  • A typed essay (2 page maximum) specifically addressing the questions listed on the application.
  • Proof of eligibility: dated registrar’s receipt and/or letter on school letterhead verifying that applicant is accepted or enrolled in an accredited college or university studying social work, psychology, or human services.
  • Any additional relevant materials the applicant would like to submit to help him/her stand out as a candidate
