Our mission is to promote and support engineering, science, and technical professionals and associated societies in Quad City Region and To Encourage and support students to study in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related fields.
Requirements for Eligibility
Must be a high school senior and a resident of Mercer, Rock Island, Henry, Whiteside, Carroll, Knox, Lee, Clinton, Scott, Muscatine, or Louisa County.
Must plan to study STEM related degree (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) at either an accredited four-year college or university; an associate degree at a community or junior college ; or a skilled trades certification.
Description of Scholarship
The Quad City and Engineering Science Council (QCESC) Scholarship Program was established and is administered by the Council. This program provides multiple one-time grants/scholarships between $1000 and $3000 each. The selection process is done without visibility to name, address, school, gender on an objective basis. The selection criteria include academics, civic/community service, extracurricular involvement, career goals, and an essay. Funds from this grant must be applied to tuition or fees related to eligibility item 2. Additionally, scholarships from several Engineering Colleges may be available via this form.
Award Presentation
Scholarships awards will be presented at the Annual Engineers Week STEM Celebration on, or about February 26, 2026. The scholarship winners will be the guests of the QCESC at the annual awards event. Family members are encouraged to attend but will be required to pay regular event price; contact Tom Hein for details. Winners will be requested to provide a photo for publication with the award announcement in the QC local newspapers and on the QCESC website. Contact information may be shared with our member organizations for the opportunity of additional scholarships.
