The CDGA Foundation Scholarship & Grant Program is made possible due to the generosity of annual donors as well as legacy gifts contributed by caring individuals and volunteer organizations that have entrusted their legacy of service through the game with the Chicago District Golf Association. The CDGA and CDGA Foundation are proud to offer the following scholarship awards in 2026:
CDGA UVS Swing Club Veteran Scholarship
The UVS Swing Club Veteran Scholarship is awarded to the dependents of a veteran or dependents of deceased or disabled veteran living or hospitalized in Illinois or the Chicago District (Northwest Indiana, Southwest Michigan and Southern Wisconsin)
CDGA Folds of Honor Scholarship
This scholarship ensures that families who’ve sacrificed so much receive the education and opportunities they deserve. Whether it’s K-12th grade or higher education, the cost of pursuing academic dreams should not be an additional burden.
CDGA IWGA Julia Dodds Scholarship
The Julia Dodds Scholarship is to assist girls who are pursuing an undergraduate college degree and have a passion for golf. Aside from being an Illinois resident, the criteria for selection for the $5,000 scholarship include Character, Scholarship, Leadership and Sportsmanship.
CDGA IWGA Grant Program
Any Illinois public or private higher education institution (2- or 4-year colleges) may submit applications for consideration in this Grant Program. Administrators of women’s golf programs are encouraged to apply for assistance by following the guidelines linked below.
CDGA JPGA Walter & Nettie George Speedy Scholarship
The CDGA JPGA Walter & Nettie George Speedy Scholarship is being established through a partnership between the CDGA and the Jackson Park Golf Association (JPGA) to honor Walter and Nettie George Speedy’s contributions to Black golf in the early 20th century.
CDGA Brent Wadsworth Scholarship
The CDGA Brent Wadsworth Scholarship is being established through a partnership between the CDGA and the Wadsworth family to honor Brent Wadsworth’s lasting contributions to the game of golf and his dedication to supporting future generations.
