About the Teen Drinking and Driving Prevention PSA Scholarship

At McKenzie Law Firm, P.C., we have unfortunately seen the devastating effects of accidents when a teen driver consumes alcohol before driving. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as many as 2.4 million teenagers in high school drive after drinking each month. Additionally, one in five teenage drivers who were involved in a fatal auto accident had some amount of alcohol in their bloodstream.

On the plus side, the number of teenagers who say they engage in drinking and driving is about half what it was three decades ago. This shows that informative campaigns about the dangers of teenage drinking and driving are effective.
