Loncar Lyon Jenkins is accepting applications for its annual $2,500 Distraction-Free Driving PSA Scholarship. Every year the law firm gives this scholarship to one deserving student who creates a video that discourages young drivers from using their cell phones when behind the wheel. The deadline to submit your application and video is July 15, 2024. We cannot evaluate applicants who do not use the form on this page, so please be sure to use the form and upload the required attachments.

About the Loncar Lyon Jenkins Distraction-Free Driving PSA Scholarship

Every year, young drivers and passengers lose their lives in car crashes that were the result of distracted driving. Cell phones are one of the top causes of distraction. When teens talk or text on the phone while driving, they put themselves and others at risk of injury or even death.

At Loncar Lyon Jenkins, we want to be part of the solution to this tragic problem. By raising awareness through the scholarship and video PSA, we hope to help reduce the number of distracted driving accidents.

There are many campaigns out there trying to address this issue. We know that young people tend to listen to people their own age, which is why we are honored to offer this Distraction-Free Driving PSA Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for the Distraction-Free Driving PSA Scholarship

To qualify for consideration for the Loncar Lyon Jenkins Distraction-Free Driving PSA Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Be admitted to or enrolled in an accredited college or university or graduate school.
  • Attach proof of admission or enrollment.
  • Include an unofficial transcript with your application.
  • Create an original video public service announcement (PSA) using the prompt below.
  • Complete and submit the application form on this page.
