The Armenian American Medical Society is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2025-2026 academic year!
The AAMS awards scholarships annually to qualified Armenian students enrolled in a United States-accredited program in the fields of medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing, mental health, or other professional healthcare schools.
Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be of Armenian descent or have a special interest in Armenian-related medical causes.
- Be actively involved in community service benefiting the health and well-being of our community.
- Submit a completed application package, postmarked by September 7, 2025.
The Armenian American Medical Society strongly believes in investing in our future healthcare professionals, who will play a crucial role in improving the health and well-being of our community. Each year, the Armenian American Medical Society awards scholarships to qualified Armenian students enrolled in various healthcare education programs, including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, mental health, and allied health. Since 2009, the AAMS has granted 113 scholarships to Armenian-American students in need throughout the United States.
We are delighted to inform you that we will be awarding individual $5,000 scholarships based on either financial need or academic merit once again this year. Whether you excel academically, display exceptional merit, or need financial support to pursue your educational dreams, these scholarships are designed for you.
APPLICATION CHECKLIST
- Each student is eligible to receive the scholarship only once during their academic career Scholarship award is intended for students of Armenian descent and with special interest in Armenian Medical Causes
- Currently attending an American-accredited medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing or other professional healthcare school
- Proof of acceptance to the school you are attending
- Sealed official transcripts for undergraduate current school
- Current academic reference letter
- Current reference letter attesting to Armenian community service
- Essay (include your name on the essay)
- If you would like to be considered on the basis of financial need, please provide the first 2 pages of the most recent tax returns for yourself and your parents
