AFCCE Scholarships

Applicants will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible. AFCCE has four scholarships available, each with different qualifications. Three scholarships are available for upper-division (Junior and Senior) students and graduate students; one scholarship is available to lower-division (including community college) students. Only one application needs to be filled out for consideration of all scholarships.

SCHOLARSHIPS

1) AFCCE Scholarship: (typically $500 to $2,500)

2) IEEE BTS/AFCCE: Jules Cohen Memorial Scholarship ($5,000 or $10,000 with a cumulative limit of $15,000) (For the IEEE BTS/AFCCE Jules Cohen Memorial Scholarship, an expressed interest in broadcast engineering or technology is required)

3) E. Noel Luddy Memorial Scholarship:(up to $2,500) To be considered for the above three scholarships, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program in a 4-year institution located in the United States or Canada.
  • Have junior or senior standing for semester being applied for (undergraduates only).
  • Graduate students must be enrolled in an accredited Master’s or Doctorate program.
  • Be majoring in a subject related to the telecommunications engineering field (an engineering major is not required).

One scholarship is available for all students, including Community College students and lower-division students:

4) Byron St. Clair Memorial Scholarship: (up to $1,000) To be considered for the Byron St. Clair Memorial Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled as either part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student in either an associate or 4-year program at an accredited college or university or a community college or applied technical school, located in the United States or Canada.
  • Be majoring in or taking courses related to broadcast engineering or technology (an engineering major is not required).
