Minecraft is one of the most popular games on the planet, but it’s so much more than ‘just a game’. It’s no secret that Minecraft has been widely used in a plethora of educational settings to support growth and development.

But instead, we want to hear form you! We want you to tell us, in your own words, how this game can be used to facilitate learning. We welcome your opinions, experiences, and ideas on how this amazing game can be utilized for learning. What more can we do with Minecraft? How Do I Apply For Scholarship?
To be considered for the scholarship, simply follow these requirements:
- Write, in your own words, an essay that answers the question: How has Minecraft positively impacted your life from an educational standpoint?
- We’d like you to take into consideration the current educational achievements of the game, and to expand on them. How can Minecraft help with career development? Can you think of some new and exciting ways to use this game? What more can we do with Minecraft?
- The sky’s the limit – we want you to show us your passion for Minecraft and to share your experiences and ideas with us. There are no right or wrong answers, but we will focus on essays that speak to the positive educational benefits of Minecraft.
- There is no maximum length for the essay, but it should be at least 500 words minimum.
Who Is Eligible?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be enrolled in high school, college, or University
- Have a 3.0 GPA (minimum)
The Selection Process
The winning recipient will be chosen by our Scalacube scholarship committee. ALL applications with be carefully reviewed. The winner will be notified via email.
