Steven Rubin, a 32nd Degree Mason, has been involved with helping people to better themselves and their businesses.
Steven has worked with children with Special Needs, as a Block Parent and Advisor to those who needed his help.
In 2014 at the age of 66, Steven met his wife, Susan, a Retired School Teacher of 25 years. Susan was involved with the Scouting Program, Richmond Youth Orchestra and tutoring E.S.L. students.
Susan, like Steven, was all about helping people especially children. Together they have established the Steven & Susan Rubin Educational Scholarship Fund.
The Scholarship Fund was created for those wishing to go to University or an Institution of Higher Learning but who may not have the "A to A" threshold for other Scholarships.
The Scholarship is valued at $1800. It aims to help Canadian Students and Landed Immigrants of 3 years or more, living with their parent/s at the time of graduation and who wish to attend a Canadian or Israeli Post-Secondary Institution.
The Scholarship is open to High School students who graduate this year and intend to continue onto a Post-Secondary Educational Institution.

QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be Canadian Citizens or Landed Immigrants Canada, having three years Landed Immigrant Status, and reside with his or her parents or parent in Canada, at the time of application to the Steven and Susan Rubin Educational Scholarship Fund administered by the Delta Community Foundation in Delta, BC.
The intended recipients must provide proof of enrollment at an accredited Post-Secondary Educational Institution (University, College, Trade School, or Technical Institute) in a program that requires at least two years, or four semesters, leading to a Diploma or Degree.
The Post-Secondary Educational Institution must be located in Canada or Israel. The name of the enrolling student and the name of the Educational Institution accepting the student must be clearly shown on the letter of acceptance.
The intended recipients must have maintained an average of 82% or less in both of the last two years (grades 11 and 12) of their secondary school education. Averages outside of this range, will not be considered. A copy of their transcript of their marks showing their name and the name of the secondary school and its address must accompany the application form.
The intended recipient will be required to answer four (4) questions as part of their application. The response to each question should be five hundred (500) words or less.
