Changing The World Scholarship

Scholarship Value: $1,000
Awards Available: 1

As dedicated advocates for victims of serious injuries, our Fort Lauderdale personal injury lawyers are passionate about changing the world for the better and making positive contributions through creative approaches and innovative solutions.

This appreciation has led us to establish our biannual award, The Law Offices of John D. Ameen Changing The World Scholarship. Our firm recognizes students who share our commitment to innovation and positive change by offering a $1,000 award each semester to STEM majors throughout the United States.

Science, technology, engineering, and math have helped to enhance the legal profession, and we hope this scholarship will help to promote STEM students’ academic careers for years to come.

Are You Eligible?

Award recipients for our Changing the World Scholarship must meet the following criteria:

  • You are (or will be) an undergraduate student pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree
  • You are at least 17 years of age
  • You are a permanent resident or citizen of one of the 50 states

How Will Your Application Be Judged

Our scholarship committee uses the following rubric to review applications each semester:

  • Does the student fit the eligibility requirements?
  • Did the student submit all required materials?
  • Does the student’s essay answer the prompt in its entirety?
  • Is the student’s essay well-written, original, and organized?

We make great efforts to review each student’s submission diligently. We know that students put a great amount of time and effort into applying for scholarships, and we aim to choose the most qualified student for our award.
