T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® NEBRASKA provides scholarships to help early care and education professionals complete coursework at a local college and work toward a degree in Early Childhood Education. Scholarships are available for Associates Degrees, Bachelor's Degrees and the newly added CDA.

Scholarships & Application Requirements

CDA or Associate Degree Scholarship

Applicants must:

  • Work in a licensed child care, preschool, or family child care; approved public school pre-k program; or Head Start,
  • Work at least 30 hours per week,
  • CDA—Commit to working in the field of early childhood for six months after the completion of your CDA coursework.
  • Associate Degree—Commit to working at your sponsoring center, or continuing to operate 
    your family child care for one year after the completion of your coursework.

Bachelor Degree Scholarship

Applicants must:

  • Meet all Associate Degree scholarship requirements,
  • Have been employed by the sponsoring center for one year prior to applying for a scholarship, OR, as a family child provider, the applicant must have a non-expiring child care operating license in good standing,
  • Be pursuing a degree in the Inclusive Endorsement in Early Childhood,
  • Already hold an Associate Degree in early childhood or equivalent,
  • Be able to transfer at least 60 credits,
  • Be able to enter at a junior standing,
  • Commit to working at your sponsoring center, or continuing to operate your family child care home for 18 months after the completion of your coursework.

Bachelor Degree Gap Scholarship

Applicants must:

  • Meet all Associate Degree Scholarship Requirements,
  • Have been employed by the sponsoring center for one year prior to applying for a scholarship, OR, as a family child provider, the applicant must have a non-expiring child care operating license in good standing,
  • Be pursuing a degree in the Inclusive Endorsement in Early Childhood,
  • Already hold an Associate Degree in early childhood or equivalent,
  • Be able to earn enough credits in three contracts to be able to transfer to a university at a junior standing (60 credits),
  • Take all possible classes at a community college,
  • Work with T.E.A.C.H. to develop a degree plan,
  • Commit to working at your sponsoring center, or continuing to operate your family child care home for 18 months after the completion of your coursework.
