Ten (10) - $2,350 scholarships will be awarded to African American students. Any unused Ivy Beauty x Feel Beauty Supply Scholarship funds will be awarded to runner up applicants. Scholarship funds are managed by PBA/PBA Foundation.
Recipient Eligibility
The scholarship recipient must be at least 18 years of age and a US citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551. All scholarships will be awarded to African American applicants. The recipient must be a cosmetology, barber, or hairstyling student enrolled in an accredited program that leads to licensure. The scholarship will be forfeited if: 1) the recipient fails to begin an eligible education program at the time of the award; and/or 2) the recipient cannot be notified or fails to respond to the award notification; and/or 3) the recipient fails to return the scholarship acceptance form within the time specified; and/or 4) the recipient fails to submit proof of enrollment, costs and expenses as required.
Application
Scholarship applicants must review these PBA Ivy Beauty x Feel Beauty Supply Scholarship Terms, Conditions and Eligibility Rules and complete the online application in full by the due dates. All applications become the property of PBA/PBA FOUNDATION.
Eligible Education Programs.
Programs at an accredited school resulting in a license in cosmetology, barber, or hairstyling are eligible as qualified education under the Ivy Beauty x Feel Beauty Supply Scholarship.
Selection of Scholarship Recipients
Scholarship recipients will be selected by PBA Foundation and a volunteer task force of licensed professionals.
Disbursement of Scholarship Funds
Proof of enrollment, costs and expenses will be required. Generally, funds will be reimbursed directly to the school unless other arrangements are negotiated with the PBA/PBA Foundation. Disbursement will occur within sixty (60) days of receipt of complete documentation. All funds are in USD.
Interpretation of Rules
The PBA Foundation is the sole interpreter of the Ivy Beauty x Feel Beauty Supply Scholarship terms, conditions and eligibility rules. By participating, applicants agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions by the PBA/PBA Foundation are final.
Conditions
Scholarships are subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited or restricted by law. Recipient is solely responsible for any tax liability incurred as a result of the award. The PBA/PBA Foundation at its sole discretion may modify or suspend the scholarship program and/or may void any entries that do not comply with terms, conditions and eligibility. All entries become the property of PBA/PBA Foundation and will not be returned. The PBA Foundation is not responsible for internet conditions that result in failed or incomplete applications or related equipment failures or technical malfunctions. The PBA/PBA Foundation will communicate with scholarship recipient to determine program benefit/outcome and obtain program feedback. All scholarship award decisions made by the PBA Foundation are final.
Nonexclusive License
Scholarship applicant grants the PBA/PBA Foundation Ivy Beauty x Feel Beauty Supply a nonexclusive license to utilize member name, city/state, photo, and information submitted in scholarship application and scholarship acceptance for PBA member recognition, education, promotion and publicity purposes and agrees to share, or participate in, photographs for publicity purposes.
