Our Social Security disability law firm understands the impact physical injuries, health issues, and mental illnesses can have on a person’s ability to properly care for themselves and others. We have been providing much-needed assistance for people with disabilities throughout Dallas and the surrounding areas for over 20 years.
Our firm is committed to helping those in need, and we are proud to offer The Law Offices of Coats & Todd Overcoming Disability Scholarship. This $2,500 scholarship is available to college students who are managing a disability while attending school. Our award is offered twice a year, and scholarship winners can use the amount they receive for any expenses related to their college education.
Eligible college students across the country are encouraged to submit their materials in the application at the bottom of this page.

Eligibility Criteria
As a legal team that has devoted our services to matters related to Social Security disability throughout our many years of practice, we are honored to provide help to those who are facing adversity. Each semester, we will be offering scholarships to college students with physical or psychological disabilities that affect their ability to work.
Additionally, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Will be attending an accredited college or university for the Spring 2025 semester
- Will be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program when the award is received
- Is at least 17 years of age upon submitting their application
- Is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
