As an attorney who is also certified as a critical care nurse, Laura Hatton understands how this compassionate approach can benefit people in other situations as well.
Our firm hopes to foster this attitude for those who are pursuing similar careers, and we have established a scholarship program that provides assistance to students who are pursuing a degree in nursing or pharmacy. Each semester, we provide an award of $1,000 to a student in order to help them pursue their goals.
Eligibility Requirements
The goal of our scholarship program is to provide assistance to deserving students who are pursuing an education that will allow them to succeed in the healthcare field. To qualify for the scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:
- The recipient must be a college student who is enrolled in a nursing or pharmacy program
- The recipient must have a minimum grade point average of 3.2
- The recipient must be at least 17 years old
Selection Process
Our scholarship team will closely review all applications as we select a winner. We want to consider the merits of every entry to ensure that the recipient of the scholarship will be able to use the award to further their education and career. This process can take time, but we expect to announce the winner within one month after the application deadline. During the review process, we will consider the following:
- Whether the applicant meets all eligibility requirements
- Whether all required information has been submitted
- Whether the applicant’s essay provides a good response to the prompt while demonstrating high-quality writing that is creative, well-organized, and easy to understand
