Each year John Galt Solutions awards two US$10,000 scholarships to individuals seeking undergraduate education in business forecasting or supply chain management.
Scholarship applications are now open. The deadline for applications is May 31st, 2025.
The John Galt Solutions Scholarship for Future Supply Chain Leaders helps pay tuition fees for those studying either supply chain management or business forecasting.
Applicants must be a current undergraduate student at an accredited higher education institution in the United States or Canada for the current academic year and be enrolled full-time in supply chain management or similar major with the intention of seeking a career in the supply chain field. At this time we are not accepting applications from post-graduate or students currently enrolled in high school.
The purpose of the scholarship is to help support the next generation of expert forecasters, demand planners and supply chain leaders. The scholarship will be given in the form of a check made out to the educational institution that you’re enrolled in. Citizenship of the US or Canada isn't required as long as they are attending school in one of those countries.
Criteria for this Scholarship

The John Galt Solutions Scholarship is open to passionate and dedicated students pursuing degrees in supply chain management, business forecasting, or related programs. All students enrolled full-time in accredited U.S. or Canadian institutions are encouraged to apply.
After you have read this entire page, simply click ‘Apply Now’ at the top of this page to apply for the scholarship. Ensure you provide all the necessary details as requested. As part of the application process, you’re required to submit a motivational letter . This letter should be between 500 and 750 words, and it must address three key areas: your passion for supply chain, your dedication to personal growth, and your financial need. You can read more details about these areas below to help guide your letter. Please note: Failing to address all three areas in your letter will result in disqualification.
In addition to the motivational letter, you are required to submit proof of enrollment, such as an official transcript from your higher education institution.
Passion for Supply Chain
You must show a strong commitment to pursuing a career in the field of business forecasting or supply chain management. We want to know what other ways you’re setting yourself up for long-term success in a supply chain career. Tell us about opportunities you’ve seized on-campus and beyond, like participating in supply chain management associations, classes and internships related to forecasting and supply chain management, and other extracurricular activities in the field.
Dedication to Personal Growth
We’re looking for students who are constantly seeking out opportunities to further develop their skills and character. In your motivational letter, please detail any academic, leadership, volunteer, community, or personal achievements that help define you. We want to hear your story and learn what makes you unique.
Financial Need
Applicants must have financial need to be considered for the scholarship. One of the main goals of this scholarship is to help a hardworking student focus more on their studies and less on making ends meet. A FAFSA is not required to apply; however, in your motivational letter please share how this scholarship will help you attain your end goal of a career in the supply chain field. Consider using your letter to underscore the commitment you have made to pursue your goal of a career in the supply chain field and what you have had to forfeit to continue down your path.
