High School Senior Sound Scholarship

Scholarship Application Instructions & Information

All sections of the application must be completed, and application must be signed to be eligible.

Complete the online application with the following requirements:

1. Copy of applicant’s current high school or college transcript.
2. One letter of recommendation from a non-relative teacher, mentor or coach.
3. Information regarding participation in school, community, and/or work activities.
4. Parent/Guardian’s or Applicant’s occupation and employer.
5. Number of children/dependents living at home, or attending a college/university at this time (if any).
6. Respond to three essay questions in your own words:

• What are your academic and/or professional goals and why?
• What are the obstacles you have encountered that have hindered you from reaching your full potential, and how have you managed to overcome them?
• How will this scholarship make a difference to you?

Completed scholarship applications must be submitted online on or before Friday, March 1, 2024 by 11:59p.m. to be eligible for consideration.

General Information

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be the primary owner of a Sound account. To be eligible for consideration, the account must be open and active by Monday, January 31, 2024.
• Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or pursuing continuing education.
• Applicant must have a 3.00 cumulative G.P.A. or higher through senior year of high school.
• Applicant must be a student in good standing.
• Application must be submitted online by Friday, March 1, 2024.
• All Sound Credit Union Board Members, Audit Committee Members, staff, and the immediate family of those listed previously are not eligible.
