We’re opening doors for students—especially those from under-resourced communities—by providing mentorship, hands-on experiences and academic support. Our enhanced program emphasizes stem education and workforce development over the course of a 16-week period during the academic year.

Who is Eligible
- Undergraduate students enrolled at two- or four-year institutions, entering sophomore, junior or senior year and pursuing degrees in biomedical sciences, health care, research or public health.
- Scholars must demonstrate a passion for addressing health disparities and meet the eligibility criteria of participating institutions and our program.
- Participation is prioritized for students who attend American Heart Association Scholars Program participating institutions.
