In an effort to help relieve some of the financial responsibility of going to college, it is with great pride that the High Aspirations Foundation, Inc. (HAFI) in conjunction with the Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. announces its annual scholarship program. The HAFI scholarship program provides $1,000 scholarships for AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE graduating high school seniors who have attained academic excellence in the classroom and are leaders in the community.
To apply for and receive scholarships offered by the HAFI Scholarship Program, applicants must be an AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE high school senior who meet the following criteria:
- Currently be a high school senior attending a public, private, charter, or parochial high school who is not the child of a financial member of the Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity, Inc.
- MUST ATTEND A METRO ATLANTA HIGH SCHOOL, ADDED CONSIDERATION FOR APS AND FCS IN SERVICE AREA, TAU CHAPTER MEMBER CHILDREN MUST APPLY THROUGH THE LEGACY PROGRAM
- Have an overall grade point average of at least 2.75 (based on a 4.0 non-weighted scale).
- Intend to enroll in a full-time program at an accredited College, University or Vocational School of equivalent accreditation during the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Submit the completed application and requisite materials by March 1st, 2025 at 11:59pm EST., signed by you and your parent/guardian and include:
- An Official transcript
- One letter of recommendation (teacher, mentor, community leader, etc.)
- 500-word essay on topic provided
HAFI scholarship recipients will be announced by March 30th, 2025.
