Virginia Association of Chiefs Scholarship
The Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police and Foundation acknowledges the support police officers give their communities. In recognition of this, the VACP has established the VACP College Scholarship Program for dependent children of active law enforcement officers in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
This scholarship is not available to dependent children of sheriff's deputies, federal officers or civilian personnel working in police agencies. Prospective applicants should carefully read the guidelines and procedures and provide the necessary information on the appropriate application form.
For consideration for the VACP Scholarship, each applicant must adhere to the following procedures:
A) Applicant must be a dependent child of an active police officer employed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. (Dependent children of sheriff's deputies, federal officers or civilian personnel working in police agencies are not eligible.)
B) Applicant must be pursuing his/her first undergraduate degree.
C) Applicant must be currently enrolled or able to verify acceptance at a college or university.
D) Applicant must be enrolled or enrolling as a full-time student.
