Haworth Skilled Trades Scholarship

A $2,000 scholarship awarded to applicants who can confirm their enrollment in an accredited 12 to 24-month technical industrial certification, associates, or skilled trades/vocational school program.


1. Must be able to confirm you have or will obtain your high school diploma or equivalent on or before July 1st of the year in which the scholarship will be used.

2. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or greater or equivalent of 70-72% or greater.

3. Must confirm enrollment and plan to continue in a 12 to 24-month certification, associates (A.A.A.S.), or skilled trade/vocational program in one of the following areas: Carpentry, CNC Machining/Programming, Electrical, Electronics Technology, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning [HVAC] Technician, Industrial Maintenance, Machinist, Machine Repair, Manufacturing Technology, Model Maker, Plumbing, Tool and Die, or Welding.

4. Associate degree refers to programs that prepare students to enter the workforce for a career that does not necessarily require a bachelor's degree. Students pursuing an associate degree who plan to continue their studies to complete a bachelor's degree are not eligible.

5. A previous Haworth Scholarship recipient for this category is not eligible for a second time.

Application Requirements

All applications for the Haworth Scholarship Program require the following information:

A) List of Volunteer Activity, and Employment/School Extra-Curricular Activity

B) Response to the following essay question (Do not include your name anywhere on the document):

"Describe a setting in which you have collaborated or interacted with people whose experiences and/or world views differ from yours. Address your initial response and how you were changed by this experience."

C) Academic Transcripts from most recent semester
