The Associated General Contractors of Alaska, Inc. (AGC) scholarship program is designed to encourage students to pursue a career in the construction industry or a related field such as accounting, insurance & bonding, and human resources. Scholarship awards will be limited to individuals who plan to live and work in Alaska. Scholarship applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 pm March 31st, 2019. AGC will award up to $20,000 in scholarships based on a scoring guide developed by the Scholarship Program Committee. Successful scholarship recipients will be notified in writing by April 30th, 2019 and their award will be presented at the AGC annual golf tournament reception on June 13th, 2019 at the AGC Anchorage office.

;The objective of the AGC Scholarship Program is to provide Alaskans, who intend to stay or return to Alaska, with monetary assistance to pursue a degree leading to a career in the construction industry.
;;Eligibility:
;Applicants for an AGC Scholarship must meet the following requirements:
A) Essay on "career goals" should clearly portraying how applicant will use degree sought in the Alaskan construction industry and the applicant's intention of staying in AK (maximum 500 words)
B) Applicants must be degree seeking.
C) Applicants must plan to enter the construction industry or a related field (supportive field) such as accounting, insurance & bonding, human resources, etc.
D) An individual must submit a completed application with the following attachments:;
1) An essay about the applicant (does applicant work and go to school, family obligations, hobbies, etc.?) (maximum 500 words)
2) Official transcript(s)
3) Letters of recommendation (minimum of 2)
E) Applicant must be either a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States and a resident of Alaska.
