Celebrating 75 Years of Building Alaska
For 75 years, AGC’s mission of Advocate, Educate, and Promote has been at the forefront of all we do.
In 1948, while still just a territory, the Associated General Contractors of Alaska was founded by a group of charter members, who recognized that while statehood may still be over a decade away, Alaska’s infrastructure needs were immediate. Watch the video below to see how AGC has evolved to meet the needs of our members, and Alaska's construction industry at large over the last 75 years.
The Associated General Contractors of Alaska, Inc. (AGC of Alaska) scholarship program is designated to encourage students to pursue a career in the construction industry or related field. Scholarships will be awarded to those seeking training in the trades and/or degree-seeking applicants. Specific career paths include: engineering, architecture, construction management, design, as well as any of the trades, or any other related careers such as safety, accounting, insurance, bonding, and human resources or other related services.
Scholarship applications must be submitted by March 31, 2025 at midnight Alaska time. The AGC Workforce Development Committee Review team will award up to $40,000 in scholarships. Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than May 1, 2025.
