The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association is now accepting applications for college students enrolling full-time at a community college or university as sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students for the 2026-27 academic year. Scholarship funds can be applied to tuition.

Application deadline is May 1, 2026.

Scholarships totaling up to $9,000.00 will be awarded.

Scholarship recipients will be announced during the annual Mid-Year meeting June 26, 2026, Madras, Oregon.

Scholarship funds are available to current Oregon Cattlemen’s Association members or their children.

Scholarship Eligibility

The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association Scholarships are available to current Oregon Cattlemen’s Association members and their children. Applicants must be a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate level and enrolled full-time at a community college or university for the 2026-2027 academic year. All majors may apply; however, some relevance to the livestock industry must be demonstrated.

The Application deadline is May 1, 2026. Scholarships totaling up to $9,000.00 will be awarded for the 2026-2027 academic year. All recipients will be notified of their award by email. Scholarship recipients may be announced during the annual Mid-Year meeting June 26, 2026, in Madras, Oregon. The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association will make payments directly to the institution to pay for tuition.

SCHOLARSHIP INSTRUCTIONS

Application Deadline: May 1, 2026

  • The attached application must be completed in full and postmarked, faxed, emailed, or hand-delivered on or before May 1, 2026, to be considered by the Scholarship Committee. Applications dated after May 1, 2026, will not be considered.
  • The OCA office closes at 5:00 PM; all hand delivered applications will need to be received before that time. Application materials can also be emailed to jem.connelly@orcattle.com with a subject line of Scholarship or faxed to (503) 361-8947.
  • Applicants are responsible for completing the application in full and seeing that all requested materials are postmarked or received by the OCA office by the application deadline of May 1, 2026.
  • All application forms will have a current date reflecting the academic year for which the application applies, found at the top of the application form. Applicants must use a current application form for his/her application to be considered.
  • If applicant wishes to use additional paper to complete the application, that is acceptable as long as the question being answered is clearly identified and the same application format is utilized. Please do not use report covers or binders.

Transcipts

  • Transcripts of the applicant’s last full year in school must accompany the application. This would include transcripts for a full academic year of schoolwork that must be included with the application materials that will be available to the scholarship committee. If more than one school was attended during the last year, applicant must submit transcripts from all schools.

  • Your signature and complete contact information are an essential part of this application. Applications with incomplete fields or signature are ineligible.
  • Please attach additional documents as needed for legibility and space.
