The following are scholarships awarded by the SIUC College of Agricultural Sciences through the Heritage Scholarship Program. Many of the following scholarships have very specific selection criteria and the listed awards and indicated amounts are projections; actual awards and award amounts may vary from those listed due to fluctuating interest rates. Application criteria include a 24 ACT score or a 2.75 transfer grade point average or a 2.75 SIUC grade point average. Application deadline is December 1st of each year.

Harold R. Clevenger Memorial Scholarship, 1 award at $500
Awarded to a student in Animal Science with an interest in swine management.

Con Agra Employee Scholarship, 1 award at $500
Awarded to a student in any COAS major.

George Delaney Scholarship, 4 awards at $1,000
Awarded to COAS students with preference given to residents of Southern Illinois.

Doerr Award for Leadership and Scholarship, 1 award at $600
Given to an officer of the Agricultural Student Advisory Council.

Donald M. Elkins Agbassador Scholarship, 1 award at $200
Given to an outstanding member of the SIUC COAS Agbassador team.

Kevin Ellis Memorial Scholarship, 1 award at $500
Awarded to a student majoring in Hospitality Tourism Administration.

Farm Credit Services Scholarship, 2 awards at $300
Awarded to students with an interest in agricultural finance who come from a farm.

Marc Garavalia Memorial Award, 2 awards at $500
Presented to a top transfer student in Animal Science.

Garden Clubs of Illinois, District 7, 1 award at $1,000
Presented to a junior or senior student from Southern Illinois with an interest in horticulture or forestry.

Garden Clubs of Illinois, 2 awards at $1,000
Awarded to students in forestry or horticulture.

Given to students in any agriculture degree program.

John E. and Bonnie J. Gunter Scholarship, 1 award at $1,000
Awarded to a junior or senior in Forestry who graduated from an Illinois public school.

Richard C. Heavener Memorial Scholarship, 1 award at $250
Awarded to a Forestry student from Southern Illinois with financial need.

Dr. William Herr Scholarship, 1 award at $1,000
Presented to an Agribusiness Economics student with an interest in agricultural finance and lending.

Awarded to outstanding students majoring in Food and Nutrition

Awarded to students who transfer from an Illinois community college with an A.S. or A.A.

Awarded to a deserving agribusiness student.

Inaugural Class Scholarship, 1 award at $500
Established by the College of Agriculture Class of 1959, this award is given to an outstanding student.

Given to an outstanding Agricultural Sciences student.

To an outstanding student in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

Awarded to a COAS student who is a member of Collegiate FFA

Given to a junior or senior animal science major with an interest in beef cattle production.

Leon S Minckler Memorial Scholarship in Forestry, 1 award at $1,000
Awarded to a student majoring in Forestry.

John Moody Scholarship, Individual awards up to $500
A four year scholarship for a student in Agribusiness Economics or Plant and Soil Science.

National Agrimarketing Association Scholarship, 1 award at $300
To a student with a career interest in agrimarketing.

J.J. Paterson Memorial Award, 1 award at $200
Annually awarded to an outstanding junior or senior student in agricultural technologies.

Pioneer Hi-Bred International Scholarship, 1 award at $500
Given to a top student in the College.

SIUC Agricultural Sciences Alumni-Supported Scholarships, varies, @$20,000 total
Supported by alumni of the College of Agricultural Sciences; numerous awards are made to top ag students.

SIUC College of Agricultural Sciences Tuition Waivers, varies, @$8,000 total
Given to outstanding agriculture students.

Awarded to a student majoring in Animal Science with an interest in Equine Science.

Thomas Stitt Scholarship, 1 award at $500
Awarded to a COAS female student; renewable for up to four years.

Pat Tweedy Memorial Scholarship, award of $1,000 annually
A four year scholarship given to an outstanding, incoming PLSS or ABE freshman student.

Wills Alpha Gamma Rho Award, 1 award at $500
Awarded to a junior who is a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho (A£F£T) Agricultural Sciences Fraternity.

Wills Alpha Zeta Award, 1 award at $500
Awarded to a junior who is a member of Alpha Zeta, Agricultural Sciences Honorary Fraternity.

Billie Wills Award, 1 award at $500
Awarded to a rural freshman in agribusiness economics.

Wills-Daisy Marks Award, 1 award at $500
Presented each year to an agribusiness economics transfer student from an Illinois Community College.

Wills 4-H Scholarship, 1 award at $500
Given to an incoming freshman who has been active in the 4-H organization and lives on a farm.

Joe & Lillian Wills Award, 1 award at $500
Given to an undergraduate female from Effingham or Fayette counties in Illinois or a graduate of Cowden High School.

Martha Wills Award, 1 award at $500
To a junior or senior in Agribusiness Economics with an interest in cooperative management.

Presented as a supplement to another Wills Scholarship.

Given to a non-U.S. citizen majoring in Agribusiness Economics.
