The Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement Winner's Circle Scholarship program seeks to support those who value agriculture as evidenced by their choices in and out of school, and then executes a plan to ensure a direct and successful career in agriculture.
We have a great number of very generous sponsors of scholarships who together have supported the efforts of the Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement. Together with them, we thank you for taking time to apply. The following pages require your input to apply for the scholarships available to incoming freshman students who plan to attend any two or four year college to execute a direct, successful career in agriculture and show that they value agriculture by their choices in and out of school.
If there are any additional awards not noted on the scholarship list that come available for which you are eligible, we will consider your application for those as well. In all cases, it is important that the applicant demonstrate a specific passion for agriculture. In some awards, this passion must be evident for a particular industry or focused around a particular commodity or service to those who produce an agricultural product.
Eligibility
These awards are for students who are graduates of Iowa High Schools and are considered incoming freshman students currently seeking to become a full time student at a two or four year school at the start of the fall term in which the awards are offered. These students must be majoring in an agricultural program with a focus on a career in the agricultural industry. Any changes, intentional or otherwise, in the status of a student may cause the award to be rescinded.
Students described as "direct-from-high-school", entering any post-secondary institution in the fall following an Iowa high school graduation are eligible for the Incoming Freshman Scholarships. Though they may have more than 30 credits, this student is still considered an incoming freshman and should complete this application.
