Jackson County FB Scholarship
Jackson County Farm Bureau Scholarship will be awarded each year to an outstanding and deserving graduating senior or enrolled college student. Scholarships are awarded based on GPA, leadership and community activities and educational and career plans.
Requisites:
A) Applicant must be a Regular or Associate Member of the Jackson County Farm Bureau or the son or daughter of a Regular or Associate Member. Active membership must have been in force for at least one year prior to applying for the scholarship.
B) Applicant must be a full time student (12 credit hours or equivalent.)
C) Applicants may use the scholarship for attending a college of their choice, including community and trade schools.
D) Should the school semester or term not be completed for any reason other than illness, the money shall be returned.
E) Application must be accompanied by a complete high school or college transcript.
F) Applications must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation - one from a school employee and one from an employer or community member. .
G) Applicants must submit an essay, which includes personal interests, family and community involvement, and the applicant's plans or goals. The applicant's field of study should reflect any ties to agri-business.
