Iowa Farm Bureau Scholarship

Iowa Farm Bureau Federation awards 54 students $1,000 scholarships on an annual basis; the scholarships are renewable providing all reapplication criteria set by IFBF are met. Six recipients are selected from each of the nine Iowa Farm Bureau districts. A district map can be found on page 6 of the scholarship application.

Eligibility

Sons and daughters of Iowa Farm Bureau members are eligible, and student's parents must be in good standing with his/her respective county Farm Bureau and IFBF. Applicants must apply in the county where their Farm Bureau membership is held. If an applicant has a Farm Bureau membership in more than one county, an application can only be submitted to one county Farm Bureau office.

Students who are pursuing a two- or four-year college degree, majoring in agriculture, nursing, or education. Specific fields of study that are eligible can be found in the application.

Recipients must maintain at least a 12-hour workload or be considered by the institution a full-time student, paying full-time tuition. A cumulative minimum 2.5 grade point average must be maintained throughout their college career to continue to qualify for the four-year renewable scholarship. Graduate students are not eligible.

The IFBF Scholarship will be applied toward tuition fees only and it is renewable for an undergraduate degree providing all reapplication criteria set by IFBF are met, including being in good standing with Farm Bureau and eligibility is maintained.
