McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation offers scholarships to students pursuing agricultural careers. Scholarships may be awarded in three categories:
- High School Seniors
- College/University students
- Technical or Trade School students
Please note: Heartland Community College & Illinois State University Students are NOT eligible for Ag Leadership Scholarships, but are eligible for the Homegrown Ag Scholarships (see below)
ELIGIBILITY
- Applicants must be a current McLean County Farm Bureau member or dependent of a current member. Visit myifb.org to check membership status
- Applicants must be a resident o McLean County, IL (permanent address or parent/guardian address in McLean County)
- Applicants must be planning to pursue a career in agriculture. Selection based on interest in agriculture, leadership & character.
High School Seniors
$500-$2,000
- Must be graduating from a McLean County High School May 2024
- Must be accepted for enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited two or four-yr college or university
College/University
$500-$2,000
- Must be a graduate of a McLean County High School
- Must be enrolled in agriculture as a full-time student at an accredited two or four-yr college or university
Technical/Trade
School $1,000
- Must be graduating in May 2024 or past graduate of a McLean County High School
- Must be enrolled in Diesel/Service Technician, Welding, Custom Applicator or other ag-related technical certificate program
PLEASE NOTE: Students planning to attend Heartland Community College or Illinois State University are NOT eligible for the Ag Leadership Scholarships, but are instead eligiblle for the Homegrown Ag Scholarships.
