Indiana State Teachers Association Career Scholarship
Purpose
The Indiana State Teachers Association Career Scholarship has been established by the ISTA Representative Assembly to recognize dependents of active ISTA members.
Qualifications
The Career Scholarship is based upon academic achievement and leadership as expressed through co-curricular activities and community involvement. A $1,000 scholarship will be given annually to a dependent of a current ISTA member. This scholarship is renewable annually upon receipt of a request for renewal and a transcript, for three (3) additional consecutive years upon meeting eligibility requirements.
Application
The application process encompasses four steps. Students are encouraged to review criteria for the other three ISTA scholarships and apply, if eligible.
Selection of Recipient
The Scholarship Committee will use the following criteria for selection:
A) Academic achievement
B) Leadership ability as expressed through co-curricular activities and community involvement
C) Essay
D) Recommendations
Presentation
The recipient will be announced in May each year.
