The National Student Recognition Program recognizes outstanding seniors at a four-year institution and second-year students at a two-year institution that has an active club affiliated with the Students of Agronomy, Soils, and Environmental Sciences (SASES). The student must be a current member of the American Society of Agronomy (ASA), Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), and/or Soil Science Society of America (SSSA). The program is supported by the ASA, CSSA, and SSSA, and recipients receive a plaque and recognition in the April issue of CSA News, the official monthly magazine of the three Societies.

One outstanding senior will be recognized from each university that submits an eligible student. Outstanding Seniors for the 2024 National Student Recognition Program must be submitted, including their photo, by March 3rd. Students must be 2024 seniors at a four-year institution or second-year students at a two-year institution. Additional details regarding the selection process and criteria can be found in the NSR flyer.
2024 Outstanding Seniors will be notified of their award by ASA, CSSA, and SSSA headquarters in March (unless otherwise instructed), and the recipients will be encouraged to apply for the Frank D. Keim Graduate Fellowship (due March 27th)
