The $6,000 Oklahoma Hall of Fame Scholarship is awarded to one high school senior annually each fall. The recipient is selected by Members of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame based on the student’s academic achievement, civic involvement, volunteerism, and extracurricular activities
Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements
High school seniors who currently attend an Oklahoma public, private, charter or homeschool AND have committed to attend an Oklahoma college or university. Applications must include a recommendation letter by a teacher, administrator, mentor, coach, or community leader not related to the student.
Criteria & Selection Process
This merit scholarship will be based on a student’s academic achievements, leadership rolls, civic/community involvement, knowledge from researching a Member of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, and pride in our great state. All related activities from the time student started school (kindergarten) will be considered. Attention to detail on the application (following directions, spelling, grammatical accuracy, etc.) will also be considered.
Applications will be considered by a committee of Oklahoma Hall of Fame Members. One student will be selected annually to receive the scholarship. The scholarship recipient will be recognized at the annual Oklahoma Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
How To Submit An Application
All information must be typed into the following application. Applications must be completed in their entirety.
COMPLETED PACKETS MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS IN THIS ORDER:
- Scholarship application, pages 3-8, completed by student and with required signatures
- A letter from the student to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Scholarship Selection Committee detailing:
- The college/university the student plans to attend
- Major or general field of study student plans to pursue
- Plans following college
- A copy of the student’s ACT/SAT scores
- An official copy of the student’s transcript beginning with the 9th grade
- At least one and no more than two recommendation letters from an adult or mentor, not related to the student. Letters should not exceed one page.
The application and above required elements must be received by 5:00 PM on Friday October 17, 2025.
