The purpose of the Troy Yost Memorial Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to graduating seniors of any Wyoming high school, and to graduates attending the University of Wyoming or other in-state junior and community colleges for whom art is an important facet of their life and future plans.

Who is eligible?

Any graduating senior of any Wyoming high school, excluding GED recipients.

What is the amount of the scholarship?

$1,000

What is the length of the scholarship?

1 year

Scholarship recipients may re-apply for subsequent years. Scholarship recipients are responsible for knowing which opportunities allow for re-application; they will not be notified about this specifically.

Essay questions and additional materials:

Essay answers should be between 2,000 and 3,000 characters. Aim for a response that is no fewer than 500 words long.

A) Describe the role of art in your life and future plans. In particular, has your work explored Western or wildlife themes?

B) You will also be asked to upload 1 sample artwork, and provide contact details for one reference.
