Fullerton is situated in northern Orange County and presently has a population of 126,003. It was established during 1887 by Edward and George Amerige, The land was secured for Santa Fe Railway, Topeka and Atchison by George H. Fullerton, who the city was named after.

In the beginning, the city was focused mainly on agriculture. The warm weather allows groves of citrus crops (in particular Valencia oranges), to grow. Other thriving sectors within Fullerton comprise manufacturing, transportation and petroleum extraction.
