Thousand Oaks is a beautiful, family-orientated community located only twelve miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. It is located in Ventura County and is very near the Santa Monica Mountains. It hosts an amazing 14,800 acres of publicly owned natural space with more than 75 miles of trails which are great for running, hiking, biking and walking. The city was incorporated in 1964 and now has a population of 128,000.

Thousand Oaks has a lot of amenities that some communities cannot afford comprising: a city owned library, teen centers, senior centers and a culture center. Thousand Oaks takes pride in the vast amount of space assigned to parks in the city and keep them properly maintained.
