Twin Falls is the biggest city of Twin Falls County in Idaho, USA. Based on the 2010 census, the population of Twin Falls was 44,125 and is the largest city of Idaho's Magic Valley region. The City of Twin Falls serves as a regional commercial center for both northeastern Nevada and south-central Idaho, as the biggest city within a 166 kilometer or 100 mile radius.
Twin Falls is the key city in the ID Micropolitan Statistical Area, that officially includes the cities of Twin Falls and Jerome Counties. In addition, the resort community of Jackpot, Nevada, Elko County is also considered to be a part of the greater Twin Falls region, although unofficially.
As the state's 7th biggest city, Twin Falls is the fastest growing city located within South-Central Idaho. The unemployment in Twin Falls County stood at 9.5%. This figure came in under the state's average of 9.6%. The unemployment was steadily decreasing to a low of just under 2% from 1998 until 2007. The College of Southern Idaho or also known as CSI is one more mainstay of the economy.
