Twin Falls is the biggest city of Twin Falls County in Idaho, USA. Based on the 2010 census, the population of Twin Falls was 44,125 and is the largest city of Idaho's Magic Valley region. The City of Twin Falls serves as a regional commercial center for both northeastern Nevada and south-central Idaho, as the biggest city within a 166 kilometer or 100 mile radius.

Twin Falls is the key city in the ID Micropolitan Statistical Area, that officially includes the cities of Twin Falls and Jerome Counties. In addition, the resort community of Jackpot, Nevada, Elko County is also considered to be a part of the greater Twin Falls region, although unofficially.

As the state's 7th biggest city, Twin Falls is the fastest growing city located within South-Central Idaho. The unemployment in Twin Falls County stood at 9.5%. This figure came in under the state's average of 9.6%. The unemployment was steadily decreasing to a low of just under 2% from 1998 until 2007. As of the month of April 2011, the unemployment rate grew to nearly 9.5% in tandem with the economy of the whole country.

The majority of growth in Twin Falls has occurred in the past 20 years. Between 2006 till the year 2011, there has been an acceleration of growth although there are many that have been important members of the economy for many years.

The award winning cheese producer Glanbia Foods calls the City of Twin Falls home. They are a major division of Glanbia plc. that is an Irish food company. Because Twin Falls was one of the premier farming regions within the world, with a huge focus on agriculture, the company chose Twin Falls as the perfect alternative. Another award winning food company, Falls Brand is situated within the southern part of the city. The Old Fashioned Basque Chorizo sausage of Falls Brands won the "Hold the Mustard" award given by the NMA or National Meat Association. Every year, they hold this annual contest the "NMA Annual Gourmet Sausagefest."

The College of Southern Idaho or also known as CSI is one more mainstay of the economy. This Junior College boasts a student population of 3,433 students and is a famous choice to those students who are somewhat not yet ready to go to a 4-year university. There are CSI residential halls available for those students who are going to school from out of state.

Some of the other big employers consist of Lamb Weston, that has a food processing plant situated in the western area of Twin Falls. They have annual revenue of approximately $100 million per annum and employ no less than 500 residents. Another big employer includes Amalgamated Sugar Company, who makes White Satin sugar.

The City of Twin Falls has seen a lot of development, with many retail store openings all over the city. This expansion has taken place between 2006 and the year 2011 in spite of a troubled economy of the entire country.
